Motor Show 2019
The long-awaited cars by Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen show microfiber interiors by Miko
Frankfurt – The future of the automotive industry is electric and increasingly oriented towards the collaboration with eco-oriented companies and the selection of eco-sustainable materials for car interiors. It appears clear at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019 - one of the most awaited automotive events - where Dinamica®, the first ecological made in Italy microfiber - has the spotlight on. Its unique style, its refined touch and the project that leads Miko S.r.l. to become carbon neutral in 5 years, have conquered prestigious car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen, Ford, Land Rover, Skoda, Mini and Smart, that chose it to cover many new models presented at the Show.
The great success of Dinamica® in Frankfurt began above all aboard some electric models, starting with the so long-awaited Taycan, the first full electric and leather-free car by PORSCHE in its world premiere. Even MERCEDES-BENZ amazed the most passionate with some new models of the "EQ" family, such as the Suv EQC 400 zero emission, while at the VOLKSWAGEN stand the car manufacturer launched its first full electric, the compact minivan ID.3, which condenses present and future in a single model.
MERCEDES-BENZ presented also a series of exclusive and powerful show cars, standing out for details in microfiber, from the new 100% electric concept car, to the E-Class cabriolet, and the A-Class (A45s AMG, AMG GT 4 63S, AMG GT S). Well-acclaimed also the C-Class models (CLA 45 AMG, CLS 220d) and G-Class ones (G550 G Manufaktur, GLC 43 AMG, GLE 400d, GLE coupe 63 AMG, GLS 580), which were exhibited alongside the prestigious Maybach S560. VOLKSWAGEN presented also the CONCEPT and the ID ROOMZ CONCEPT. Some MINI models also were covered by Dinamica®, such as the Clubman JCW, the Countryman Hybrid, Electric and the RR sport SVR. SKODA presented the Kamiq sport utility and the Scala sports version to the public in Frankfurt, making its world debut; both are embellished with made-in-Italy microfiber. For SMART, Dinamica® appeared on the ForTwo EQ while for FORD on the new generation of KUGA. To complete the series of ecological microfibre coverings, the Discovery sport on display at the stand LAND ROVER was wearing Dinamica®.
Lorenzo Terraneo, CEO OF Miko, the company producing Dinamica®, observed: “Becoming carbon neutral is a social and moral duty, which any company that operates on a global scale should fulfill. At Miko we have accepted the challenge of Climate Change, with a project - among other initiatives - for the restoration and conservation of a wood in the national territory. In 5 years we aim at 100% compensating the CO2 emitted by our organization and we will become carbon neutral. Investing and operating in this direction - continues Terraneo - is fundamental if we want to guarantee a product that is both increasingly performant and on the other always more in line with the sustainability requirements imposed by the market and necessary for the entire planet.”
